How do you turn a diplomatic moment into momentum for the High Seas Treaty?

With the UN Ocean Conference taking place in Nice, attention turned to the future of the ocean — yet there was a clear need for a space beyond the negotiation rooms where leaders could connect, reflect, and build momentum together.

In response, we created Ocean House, in partnership with Project Everyone and Project 17: a cultural and leadership hub designed to bring together business, political, scientific, and cultural leaders around a shared commitment to the ocean. Ocean House provided a welcoming, high-quality environment where conversations on ocean governance, finance, biodiversity, and coastal resilience could take place alongside powerful storytelling and lived experience.

Programming blended high-level dialogue with film, culture, and informal moments of connection, recognising that trust and collaboration are built as much through atmosphere as through agenda. Food, design, and production were treated as integral parts of the experience, transforming the space into an ocean-inspired environment that encouraged openness and exchange.
